I love the rain
I know that most people complain about the so-called rubbish British weather, but I personally don’t understand why they hate it so much. I think that the British weather is perfect. During the summer it is not that hot, except for June, and during the winter we don’t have freezing days with temperatures below – 10 degrees. It is just lovely. And the best thing about British weather is that here it rains a lot. I just love the rain. I love the smell of it, I like walking in the rain, I like the rainy Sundays when my only daily task is to enjoy a lovely book.
There is something magical that I cannot actually explain. I personally think that everything looks better when it is covered with small rain drops. The windows of my house look awesome, my car looks completely different, the grass, oh the lovely green grass, looks better, full of life, it is so poetic, so utterly beautiful. I also love driving in the rain. I just listen to some gentle music, usually jazz, and I just cruise the streets. It is so special and I feel so good. I even used to go out for a long drive almost every night when it was raining and just explored the city and its beauty. And the only thing I could see was the beautiful architecture or the lovely trees, the night sky, everything else just disappeared like magic, all the rubbish on the street, all the annoying posters, pop up displays and banners, even the beggars were nowhere to be seen – a perfect harmony. I also love how every mechanical thing on my old car seems to work better when it is damp. And do you know what the best thing about rain is? The rainbow that appears on the sky when there are even a few sun rays. There is nothing more beautiful than that.
